Café Kuyl, a brown pub 21st century, inspired by the beer house 'Kuil van Schiller' (1854-1907). Usually, the worlds of ‘de hoed’ and ‘pet’ were separate, but in the Kuil van Schiller, it was a friendly gathering of sailors, stockbrokers, citizens, traders, and representatives. Today, nothing has changed. With pride, Café Kuyl takes up what Schiller once started: bringing worlds together. From the ‘hoed’ and ’de pet’, the pub and the street, from Art Nouveau to contemporary art, comfort food and fusion cuisine, from classic beers to funky experiments, from you and from us.
